WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO GO GREEN?

What Does Going Green Mean?

Going green can mean just starting out with one simple step and then growing from there. So many people think that going green means they have to completely change everything about their lifestyle and become a GREEN Fanatic or Snob! Nothing could be farther from the truth. All you have to do is make a few small changes to go green. If you try to make huge changes, you will probably give up and return to your old ways, so it is best to make small changes to start.

(1) RECYCLE all your Aluminum, Plastic Bottles & Bags,Glass...etc.

(2) REUSE as much as possible. Example: rather than throw away an empty pickle jar or Container, use it to store items.

(3) REDUCE Waste; Buy a few canvas sacks and carry them with you when you grocery shop, to help Reduce Plastic & Paper. Drinking tap water instead of bottled water is one way of reducing plastic bottles. Carry reusable water bottles when jogging, running errands or hanging out at the park. Reduce toxins: use green household cleaners such as baking soda mixed with water. *Check Out our Blog for more details. COMPOSTE food scraps, yard clippings, bits of paper and organic materials to reduce waste and use it to fertilize lawn & Garden.(more info in our Blog) SAVE ENERGY (Reduce) by Turning Off the Lights when you leave a Room. Turn Off your laptop & other Electronic Devices before going to bed. (reduce wasting our natural resources) Water Conservation …Don’t leave the Water running when you brush your teeth. Turn the water off until needed-a small change that matters. Reduce/Stop Air POLLUTION. Get your Vehicle serviced regularly, Carpool as much as possible and walk to the corner store instead of driving.

(4) REPLANT trees to help keep us all alive! Without Trees we wouldn’t be here. Trees recycle water, help reduce soil waste * Filter pollution from the air, * Provide homes for animals and Make food for humans & wildlife. when you plant a tree, you help the environment in so many ways.

Don't let the green fanatics put you on a guilt trip for not becoming totally green. Gradually make one change at a time as you’re ready.
